My daughter had an auto accident in June, she was presribed Lortabs 7.5 and 10 mg, she was also presribed percoset....  all during the duration of the surgery and healing...  she became addicted during recovery from the injury and continued abuse until this past Tuesday...as of today she is 4 days clean.....  yesterday was horrible...  she is mentally in pain as much or more than physically...  I am wondering how long this will last ...  she is in college and does not feel as if she can make it through these last 3 weeks of school....

my son is who is considering the suboxone option....  he has used the samr for 3-4 years...  also starting from an injury and then becoming abusive.....  I want suboxone to help him but do nat want to substitute one evil for another...

they are 19 and 21....  both are in their first year of college....  we need prayers and guidiance from God and those who can help...

your question is a little nonspecific - but i will shoot some stuff out just to naw on:

i am day 10 of no suboxone, as i just posted in another post i also relapsed on hydros for a few days before going into complete detox from opiates.  i was on sub for 2 years.

the sub is totally an effective treatment - - but know you are just addicted to another drug.  please ask dr or more experience than me for further info there.  sub is not a miraculous cure for addiction in my opioniion -- but it does allow you to continue your life without stopping in your tracks for days & also you are doing nothing illegal.  but you would have to kick that eventually also - - i guess part of your brain/body heals on the sub without pain -  but i couldn't tell you how much or the scientific details.

if i had to answer your question day 1 - 3 suck.   day 4 - 6 are some muddle of physical & mentail discomfort.  day 8 - 10 are very angsty & mental - - and alot of sleepness in there.  but thats about as far as i have gotten.

i should probably be more encouraging - - but i feel a little flat tonight.  this site has helped me a lot -- stick around if you can :)

How long it lasts depends on how much of what you've been taking and for how long.  Suboxone works great for withdrawals but is an opiate and is addicting so if you take it long term you'll have to taper off it too.

Everyone is different and depends on what you take, how much and how long you have been on them.  Also depends on cold turkey or tapering.  Usually takes 3-6 days of the worse symptoms, but again everyone is different and others on this site would probably know better than me.
