I know, I wish the smoking forum was more active. I've noticed you struggling with quitting for a while now. I hear you with that. Not for the first time am I coming up on 1yr quit since I came to MH, however, this time has been different. I haven't taken that First Puff! I will Finally be able to say I am one year nicotine free on Jan 1st 2014. I feel So much better!
When I was an active smoker, I thought of smoking more in ONE DAY than I have in the last 332. My chest is no longer tight, I don't need my inhaler, no more congestion, and sleep is as good as sleeping for ME can get! lol
I wish you the best of luck!
Rush I quit smoking about 5 years ago. I had to. I had both legs clogged. aorta by pass.and corroded artery .Smoking narrows the arteries and blood viens. which causes VERY poor circulation. That's what's wrong with my feet. They feel like I'm walking on needles and burn like fire. One leg is 70% blocked now. I'm telling you all this so you will stay strong and quit. I smoked for 60 years. I can't remember a time when I didn't have one in my hand. I started before I was 10 yrs old. I'm not going to lie to you and say you'll get to where you don't want one but that will pass. Good luck and God Bless you
Hi there, I just quit like 8 days ago. It is super hard for me, because I also just quit percocet use 7 days ago So Im battling both at the same time. I do use a electric one tho. Wish I could have just quit completely. I wish you courage & strength quitting. It is the best thing to do, after only 3-4 days of not smoking a real cigarette, I literally could feel a big difference in my chest, and lungs. It feels like something has been lifted off my chest & lungs. Hang in there.
