withdrawls again grrrrrrrr

ok!!!! i have been reading the post on here for 3 weeks now. I have taken vic's 7.5 for over a year. due to fibro. 2 weeks ago i went cold turkey and only made it to the 7th day and was starting to feel better. I have now been back on these for a couple of weeks again due to flare up with fibro. my question is will my withdrawls be just as bad? i have found this fourm to be very helpful and feel so many of you have so much to offer with your own experences. so thank you!!!!

I don't have anything to compare with, this is my 1st time getting off vics, but I am tapering off the vics...it seems very tolerable if you can do it..I cut out 1/2 pill evey 2 days.I know a lot of people say it is too tempting to not take the pills if they have a lot around...but it is working for me...I can still function and be out and about. I still am having w/d symptoms, but they are very mild.  Hope this helps....good luck

Yes I believe you will, to some extent. I used after 2 weeks, only 5 pills and I went through the cold, sleepless, and mental games again. Sorry.
I take aleve for joint pain and it helps alot.

what I've always used for the Fibro is heat and Ibuprofen- I have RA and Fibro- all associated with Lupus.. (not sure if I've mentioned to anyone about me having Lupus or not, but yea, I found out back in Dec.2003) My mother had it, my sisters have it, all associated with being Native American as well..
My sisters take pain meds, but they're trying to live normal lives while BEING on the meds, and it's just not working- both are professionals- one is a teacher, the other an accountant. Imagine trying to focus.. oh my
Yes the withdrawals will be the same, but if you stop now, may not be as severe as before..
Good Luck!

Hi.

A few weeks a long time, since you had only just came off of them. More than likely, you will suffer withdrawal again. Have you tried a non-narcotic med for the Fibro?
