withdrawal

so ive recently had a 6 month habit of roxys oxycodones 30's and would eat about 6 a day.  i stopped using for a while cold turkey and it has been about 11 days before my relapse.  I just took 2 roxys and that was it.  All the sudden it felt like all my physicql wd's that i fought so hard a week earlier was coming back.  I had to fight the physical wd's and the horrible guilt of relapse.

My question is: how long do you have to be clean before you could take a few pills without the withdrawal feelings?  i have friends that will take a couple of pills once every 2 weeks and feel fine the next day.. Will i ever be able to do that?

Please spare me of the "im an addict routine and that i cannot have just one"

thanks....

Exercise is your best bet in order to start producing endorphins..Even if its just walking around the block. You will see that you will feel much better when you do it.

Yes this does help a lot. I now understand why I feel the way I do. But do you know how long on average it takes someone to "reset it's hard drive" in the brain. Like if I don't take opiates for 3 weeks straight and decide after that to take one. Will I feel wd?

It s not about being and addict, it is actually about replacing endorphins, Every time you take opiates you change your endorphins production and that makes you feel like you are withdrawing after. Our brains have a hard drive with memory like a computer and it has chemicals that works like a clock. Everytime we alter  its function with medication that changes chemical balance like opiates , The brain has to go through extensive effort to find its proper normal function again...I hope this helps you understand what you are feeling and why..
