It does not "kill Your system for good". Your body is remarkable and has an amazing recuperative ability if given a chance. It usually takes six weeks sometimes up to several months for you central nervous system to heal. You just have to have a positive outlook and give it a chance and proper care.
There are so many people on this site who have abused drugs much longer than you, including myself...I used for 10 years...and they have bounced back. The brain is an amazing organ. Have faith in it. Have faith in yourself. I can't give you advice because I'm on day 27 of methadone withdrawals, everyday is still a battle. But I'm willing to fight for my life and my future. Your in the right place. Hopefully someone with more recovery and more experience with your drug of choice Will come along soon. Hang on and don't give up.
