Percocet withdrawal / relapse

Hi, so I'm 23 and the last 3 weeks I have been taking 4 30mg percs everyday. I quit cold turkey and I was on my 4th day and I just took a 5 mg perc. Was that a bad idea I was withdrawing really bad for not being on them for that long, should I start lowering doses or just go back to cold turkey, I felt so crappy work was impossible I was throwing up all day today, which lead me to take the 5 mg perc to ease the pain! I don't know what I should do! Help!!

Jean, I am glad you are trying to get off the Percocet.  I believe the highest dose available in US is 10mg of oxycodone/ 650mg acetaminophen.  Thus, not only are you taking a lot of narcotics, you are also overdosing on Tylenol that can actually damage your liver.  The best way for you to proceed is to slowly taper the dose, never taking above the recommended amount.   Wright out a table for yourself, i.e. one 10mg Percocet tablet three times a day for two days; one 5mg, two 10mg for the next two days; two 5mg and one 10mg for the next two; three 5mg for the next two; then two 5mg only twice a day for a few days and then only at night; then see if you can break that in half and take 2.5 at night and so on.  That way you can ease yourself off without a shock.
Read my blog, which you can easily find by clicking on my name about other options, but I think you can do it. I believe in you.  And stick with it, please, you must believe in yourself!
