how do i get off lortab 7.5

I have been taking lortab 7.5's for about a year now..i take them for my mouth i need to have all my teeth removed but cannot afford all of that right now...I normally take no more than 3 a day.  I had a bad week this last week and was taking quite a bit more than that..maybe 4-6 a day never more than 1 at a time... I stopped doing that and went back to normal with them and noticed that I felt quite ill when I woke this am...I think I better get off of them... how should I do this? Should I go and talk to my pcp? He is the one that prescribes them...he saw me once about it and I've just called in for refills ever since..I get 60 every 20-30 days depending on how bad it is..along with antibiotics when needed...I just need help stopping them...

Just remember , the more you take , the more you will need. You should speak to your doctor about slowly titrating yourself off them before you cannot physically do it. By the amounts you are taking , it should not be so bad or so long. Your doctor might be able to help you with medication through any symptoms you might have. Best of luck.
