Weird hormonal attacks every day from 3-5

Hello,

I am not 100% sure this is in the right forum, but so be it.  I am hypothyroid, have hashimotos.  I am not taking any thyroid right now.  I am on adrenal support trying to get my adrenals under control.  I feel so much better since i started the adrenal support.

There has been one thing that has plagued me since this all started a year ago that no one has a logical explanation for.  It has occured both off thyroid, on thyroid (worse on thyroid), before adrenal support, and current.  It makes no sense.

I feel pretty even keeled all day.  Usual hypo symptoms, tired, achy, etc.  But at about 3 PM  BAM!  something happens to my system that throws me into the throws of hell.  I get really really anxious beyond belief.  I get really irritable and cranky.  My ears ring off the hook (they actually hurt), my eyes bother me, the slightest thing sets me off.  I feel terrible.  And then after about an hour or an hour in a half it passes.

I have seen some really good hormone people, no one can explain it.  Currently I take a small dose of xanex at 2:30 each day knowing its going to come and go.   This is what is preventing me from working.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you,

Bruce

well i saw the ultrasound and it looked nuts.  The thyroid had increased blood flow to it.  It looked bright red (the computer colors) to indicate that there was major blood flow going to it.  The endo at mayo said that this is normal for hashimotos people to have this.  She showed me a normal thyroid which looked like a pretty butterfly shaped object.  Then she showed me a hashimotos thyroid.  It was all swollen looking, no definition, all thick and nasty looking.

No wonder the stupid thing doesnt work.  Its covered in drecht!

i did the saliva test thing.  it showed all normal except the night was really low.  In text book theory, I shouldnt be on hydrocortosine.  But Im taking it and I feel 80 times better..   im managable at this point.  We just planned a vacation to disneyworld.  I dont feel good, but im actually looking forward to the trip.

what testing are you referring to?

Jelly! ewwww! How does that look on an ultrasound!
Have you tested morning and night to see if your rhythm is off?

I like the hospital idea.  Sadly I'm being told I'm not ready for that.    My thyroid looks like it's covered in jelly.   I'm sure my natural rhythm is messed up...

Could it be your diet? Gluten intolerance? Maybe insulin levels? anything like that? Have you checked out how much the thyroid produces or how it works at that time during the day? I know there is a T3 surge or something at night, maybe that is happening to you at the wrong time? Maybe you just need to stay in a hospital over night for 24 hours and have them take hormones and TSH/Frees every 2 hours or something and then right when you start feeling crappy.  Gee... I should be a doctor, I bet none of  your doctors have even entertained that kind of idea.... but its all about keeping you sick, so you come back over and over and make them more money cause a cured patient doesnt bring in money.... I am so fed up and tired of being put through the wash cycle... can you tell?

there was a lady on there last night that went through stuff for 50 years.  50!!!  and they figured her out!

there are people on there with problems 10x worse that ours that their doctors figure out.  The doctors even take interest in them!!   its fantasy land.
