Which steroid do you use?

Hi! I have adrendal insufficiency, along with hypothyroidism and diabetes insipidus, due to a brain tumor I had when I was 12.  I have tried three different steroids to get my energy level up.  I've been on prednisone, dexamethasone, and hydrocortisone and none of them work!  I was wondering how you are being treated, and if there are any other options

Soon they are coming out with duocort - a long lasting HC that will imitate the diurnal rhythm of a normal body in one dose. That will help a lot of us!

I have a pharmacy compound 5mg cortisol capsules in an ascorbic acid base. The steroid is short-lived in my system compared to prednisone, but I find there are fewer side effects. I was on pred. for about 17 years, and have used cortisol for 10.
I keep prednisone on-hand for when I'm sick, and always have injectable dexamethasone with me in case I knock my head on a steel beam and someone needs to bring me 'round.

With your steroid, are you also taking florinef and salt?
I take hydro, florinef and salt. I have no adrenals. I also take DHEA.
