There is another pic in my profile as well.
So, what are "they" going to do about it?
I'm pretty sure that they are thinking that if they wait long enough, that it (or me) will just go away, lol. I'm still waiting for some answers.
Are they running any blood or urine tests?
You know, I really am starting to wonder what is going on. No tests or anything yet. Not even a clear answer on what kind of tumor it is. I am really trying to be patient, but the pain in my legs and feet is really starting to best me.
My Doc is really good to me, I've had very little issues with him. I have to believe my best interests are what he is working towards.
It is round, with clear margins - they are thinking no cancer - so they are not in a hurry, perhaps. Still, adrenal stuff can have effects that are nasty - and a pheo and cushing's can kill you, so one wonders why they are dillying about...
Only testing will show the type of tumor. Have you named it yet?
Yes there was plenty of signal loss in the out phase on the MRI, so that is a relief. I've quite given up on trying to imagine what symptoms I can pin to what syndrome. I seem to have a few from each, and now I'm confused. (I'm a man, that took a lot to admit. Don't tell my wife :) ). I have weight gain mostly in the abdominal area, But with the tingling and numbness, it leans pretty heavily towards Conns. Still again, there are symptoms of the Pheo, so I'm going to wait (not that I really had a choice in the matter), to see what the heck is going on with me, before I try and react.
All day Saturday, I had a sensation in the bottom of my foot that felt like someone was driving a spike about 6" long in there. Didn't matter if I was laying, sitting, standing, walking, or anything. It was coming and going about every 15 sec - couple of minutes. This supports the name that I have given it, Edgar. The poor guy I named this after is a supervisor at the job I work (not my supervisor) that has given me grief and irritation for years. Actually he's a friend, but I was joking around telling him that is what I imagine the adenoma's name is, and it has stuck.
Ah, Edgar... nice name. I find that naming mine helps in the coping.
It is actually ok to be confused - I bet you the docs are as well...
Abdominal weight gain is a Cushing's thing, Do you have any skin spotting - like liver spots? High blood pressure can be any of them so well, until you have renin and aldosterone tests (make sure the renin and ACTH tests are done accurately - EDTA tube, chilled, spun immediately, and ask them to freeze it right out of the centrifuge - if not, results will be lower) you will not have a clue - and with them, all that is abnormal too.
