what test is this?
well iv had dizziness for a year and a half,and i saw a endocrologist(spelt wrong lol) and he wants me to have a cortisol test,he didnt say the name but he said i have my bloods taken,then i get a injection in my bum,then i have my bloods done straight after and then a hour l8er.think he said like they pump cortisol in ya.anyone no the name of this type of test? thansk in advance

Anxiety is more of a high cortisol issue as high cortisol makes you rather want to jump out of your skin. Hot flush - is your face red?
It is just strange that they did not do regular testing first - like serum cortisol, ACTH, urine cortisol, saliva cortisol etc....
Are you over or under-weight?
I had Cushing's (too much cortisol) until my adrenals came out so I live/d both... fatigue is both. weak is both. Sick is both - immune system is compromised.
Can you get a copy of your testing?

yeh its kinda hard to explain but basicly im very unbalence and extreme dizziness,had heart,ears and a EEG check that has came back fine,and my doc thought it was some sort of hormone problem,then i saw that endocorlist doctor and he said he thinks its problem anxiety but he wants to check my adrenal glands just to make sure,my other symptoms are extreme fatigue,feeling weak all the time,hot flush,allways feeling extremely sick.theres a long list that i carnt remember lol

I don't recognize the test and I thought I had them all - never ever had a shot in the bum! An IV, yes, a shot in the bum - NO.
There are lots of stimulation tests were they take a baseline (get your bloods taken) then you get the stim agent (but that is usually IV, not IM) and then they test you at 30 and 60 minutes.
I would get a sort of stim test - but for dizzy?
