Hi Blueghost,  have you tried AA?  It helped me quite a bit a still does.  It also doesn't cost anything and you may find some folks who have been through what you are going through.  Hope you start feeling better.  It is a shame the way the psych. is treatign you.  God Bless!

Also, I have had every medical test imaginable, brain MRI (three), blood tests, lyme test, liver check, heart exam--all normal. Seems im super healthy, I should be in the Olympics, but I feel terrible. However, its getting better, the last 6 weeks were a relief I was back to my old self. Hope this wave lifts soon.

I did file a complaint against her. She just rushes me out of her office with a prescription and i no help at all.
You know, the thing that boggles my mind is how this all happened. I was a heavy drinker in 2003-04 (sometimes up to 18 beers/day) and I paid for it dearly in withdrawals and paws which left me an emotional mess for a year. By 2006 I was fully recovered and stupidly began drinking again (social at first), but the experience of my detox was in my mind, so I never drank more than 4 beers in a 24 hour period and then only two times between 2006-2009. However, I was drinking EVERYDAY, about 2.5 beers at night and really for the wrong reasons (stress relief). I thought 2.5 beers couldnt do any harm, I figured I was safe; but I took a break from drinking in Aug 2009 because I had a lung infection -- I got thrown into mini DTs!!! How could I have went into DTs from only 2.5 beers a day???? I had to be taken to the ER with a heart-rate of 190+ and sky-high blood pressure, I laid in bed having mini convulsions for about 5 days.... Now 14 months later im stiff feeling the effects of paws. How could this happen from such a small amount?

This is my second withdrawal, first withdrawal, in 2004, paws hit me hard, lasted about a year. Now its been 14 months since my last drink and paws still hitting me, already I just finished a 6 week wave of normality, but now the anxiety, fuzziness an memory issues are back. Hope this wave goes away soon...... Seeing a psychiatrist, meds help some, but hopefully my brain will revert back to normal soon.....

Yes, many times.  Are you getting any type of recovery care?
