just a quick question

yes I am woundering if I have been drinking beer for 8 days straight and I want to stop will I have withdrawls I have been drinking about 16 beers a day since my father passed?

I'm so sorry for your loss! You probably will feel pretty rough, yes. I would recommend doing the same as you would if you were stopping a medicatio-taper it off. If you're drinking 16/day, cut back to 12, then 8, etc and in between drink a lot of water and eat healthy foods...resist the temptation to eat burgers and pizza! It sounds like you're really struggling with the loss of your dad which is certainly understandable. Maybe instead of trying to numb it away with beer, you could sit down with some family or friends and talk about him. Share memories and funny stories. Celebrate his life (sans alcohol!)! I'm sure he would rather you do that than disappear into a keg somewhere. Again, i am sorry for your loss and I wish you peace and healing!

How old are you?is this just a drinking episode spurred by the loss of your father?Or do you have a drinking history that preceded this?If so,how much?how often?And your dad passed 8 days ago?
