Am I an alcoholic

Every weekend I have a bottle of wine to drink. I drink the entire bottle unless I fall asleep before I finish it.  It is like a habit.  If I don't have to go to work the next day -- I get a bottle of wine.  Am I an alcoholic?

Go to an AA meeting.  Pick up one of the pamphlets called 44 Questions.  Read it.  Listen to the people.  Then decide.  Only you can make that decision.

there r such things as weekend alcoholics......its not how often u drink....its how much do u drink when u drink and what happens as a result.....do u drink for the effect?to numb?to catch a buzz?do u continue to drink despite the problems it causes in ur life?if u answer YES 2 these questions then u r an alcoholic!

only you can answer that, you'll  find out in a few months. If you can drink wine only on weekends, that is not so bad ... see how imp alcohol becomes for you and you will eventually know whether you are an alcoholic. My only request to you is that please please please seek help ASAP the day you realize you are an alcoholic don't wait till it becomes worse
