aftereffects of single alcohol intoxication

Hi .I m college going student at 23.plz bear with me for a while.A month ago I went partying with my friends.i had never drunk earlier.I didn't want to drink but when one of my friends persisted ,I decided to join them.I gulped about 200ml of beer 8%ABV.i initially felt talkative then a bit aggressive but i was in control.I could not sleep for two hrs.Following morning I woke up with an unpleasant hangover but what was more serious was I developed gross confusion.i had to strain my mind to recall familiar places .even I had to search for words from my memory while conversating .this conitued for about 3 weeks and then subsided.but I m left with a worse memory problem I frequently forget learned names .my thinking is slowed compared to what it used to be  and my information holding​ capacity is greatly compromised. i appreciate Any sort of help .

I consulted MD and he said it was because my body was sensitive to alcohol and the symptoms were due to what he described "because my body had been shaken by alcohol and I should stay away from alcohol.u know how difficult itz sometimes if not very often

I used to take clonazepam occasionally but not on that fateful night.infact it was my first encounter with alcohol

One heavy drinking incident would not create confusion lasting for the length of time you describe!Do you drink more often than what you indicate?any pot smoking or other drug use?
