Libristop - me too; anyone?
Anyone out there? We are very interested....
Interested we are; out there we are.
i started taking librium about 3 weeks ago... an havent had a drink since... but you've got to want to stop. They stop the shaking and the sickness... the side effect for me were i could nt sit on my ***... im up at 5 in the morning an dont go to bed till midnight...they say they are meant to make you drowsy... not me..... they do give you a dry mouth but that could just be lack of alcohol! Im on 80/100mgs a day so its a high dose.... they are highly addictive an you cant just stop taking them an have a drink.. they can make you ill if you do
tigrai...those are Benzos and habit forming......ask doc bout Campral for u.u can take it long term.Google it and do some research for urself.3 weeks is good!
got the doc on thursday.. so i'll ask when im there.. hes cutting them down on thurs... but i no i couldnt have stayed sober this long without them...im afraid i must have an addictive personallity.. you have 2 decide whats the worst for you...
We all have addictive personalities - get over it, that's why we're here. Challenge your doctor - do the research before, know the facts!.
u go dark right on and tigrai..be a tigress bout gaining more knowledge!yes do ur research!
The facts for me are that write now.. im sober..i no i will have 2 come off librium...i will ask about campral as ibizan suggested.....sometimes ignorence is bliss...
hey lady ignorance/closed eyes can smack u in2 a wall which hurts!Librium just aids in withdrawal...Campral will cut the craving!
Do they normally prescribe 'Campral' in defiantly?
Tigrai - tell what doc says Thursday please, you can't afford to be ignorant.
i was waiting for that question...no not indefinitely but for the first few months maybe first year.....yes.and if u go off it and relapse it can be re-started.
So that was a good question? And you didn't offer "indefinitely"..;-) Good info tho!
i will let you no how i get on.. i hear what your saying... an i will ask about the campral.
Campral is not a 4ever thing.....it is a short term adjunct to SAFEGUARD ur sobriety....ur both worthy investment un2 urselves.tigrai....i know u'll keep us posted!
tigrai - Hope you're still hanging in there; doctor Thursday? Day 17 for you! Condrad!
ibizan - I'm still asking about Campral when I go into doc. One can never have enough protection.
both of u keep going with the no booze 4 youse......and yes dark the Campral is protection!which u can never have enuf of with the Beast lurking everywhere.
"Beast lurking everywhere"... probally the rest of my life, even after I'm dead. ******* nightmare..
i can never understand why you... call it the beast...you make me laugh, but your write it is everywhere..it was my best friend.. i cried the day i poured my vodka down the toilet..
think about it.....it is large, ugly, stinks, has bad breath, acts like an ***,roars....it is over ur shoulder taunting u no good qualities....now thats a BEAST!
tigrai - actually 'ibizan' provided the description BEAST, but it stuck and obviously use it on a daily basis. Actually beast was my best friend for YEARS and more important than anything else; that's what's sad, but I had to dump my best friend.
I could depend BEAST through thick and thin. Beast and I had go way back -- some good and bad times; mostly bad the next day. Screw you ******* beast!
we can rid ourselves of the physical prescence of the BEAST but he is an insidious creature.Has tentacles that wrap self round mind...like urs tigrai!u mourned something that is killing u as u watched it go down the drain...how nuts is that?then when ur sober a tad..outta the blue BEAST residue in brain whispers...aw c'mon...u know u want me..just a few...u can handle it.....just this once. who's gonna know?.....hey BEAST go fornicate with urself!
ibizan - Beast is bad beyond words, the devil him/herself!
Tigrai - Are you OK for day 18? Let us know about doctor appt. Hang in there! dark
the BEAST can/does physically disppear from our lives..but he can/does remain in our brains.i find he comes out with times of xtreme stress or greif...but as the years have gone by I hear his voice much more infrequently.T-lady..we know u'll keep us posted!
