New to this...

I guess this would be my step 1. I am new here. In the last year I have developed a dependency to alcohol. I have always been able to drink on occasion or socially and never abused it. The last year to year and a half I had some major life changing issues and chaos come up and began drinking more and more. I am the one to always get the most drunk at family functions. All of my family with the exception of my father are social drinkers and on occasion drink too much. Me however I have over done it every time. I have a 6 year old daughter and I want to get better for myself first but I keep thinking I want to be better...a better mom, a better wife, daughter etc. Any advice suggestions tips please do share...

Welcome.
You have come to the right place.
There are many here who have much to offer.

For myself, I want to say I am so proud of You for realizing "early on" that this is an issue for You.  You AND Your Little Girl will benefit.
This I Know Is True.

Regards,
Tink

I would suggest finding yourself a good licensed substance abuse counselor for starters.Your county of residence will have an outpatient clinic that has affordable services!Pls keep us posted..there is a lot of good recovery here!

Thank you so much!! I look forward to meeting more people and getting advice and tips and maybe even developing friendships. I feel great this morning and looking forward to more great mornings. I am just taking it moment by moment and day by day.
