Symptoms after drinking alcohol more frequently.

2 weeks ago I went to Mexico for a family Vacation. I am 19, but The drinking age there is 18. I am not an alcoholic, but I am very paranoid about my health. While I was there I had about 4 units of alcohol every other night. That is the most often I have ever drank.

The day after the first time I drank I started getting nauseous and bloated the next day and got full on food very fast. At first I thought it was a hangover, but it was only my stomach. I noticed a few days ago that I also felt different too. I had less balance, hard to concentrate, headaches, muscle aches, slightly less feeling, tingling in arms, muscle twitches, faster heart rate and I also feel more lethargic and tired. Stomach problems are also present but that could be non-alcohol problem.

I don't think I drank enough to be feeling these symptoms. I only had 4 drinks on 6 occasions each throughout 2 weeks. Before Mexico, I drank maybe once or twice a month.

Is this a vitamin deficiency or is it more serious?

Yes.

"processed flour junk food" is NOT good -  with or without alcohol.

The body acts/reacts poorly to either/or - with or without the other.

I repeat:

As far as the body is concerned, alcohol is a poison

Thanks for the response. I have also realized that while I was in Mexico, my eating habits were quite bad. Basically I ate processed flour junk food and had mostly all empty calorie sugar foods. No meats, eggs, etc. could this lack of nutrients along with alcohol be a cause?

Likely it is 'simply' the substance alcohol making You feel this way.  Perhaps You are more in tune with these feelings BECAUSE you are unaccustomed to drinking.  Alcohol is NOT a good thing for our bodies and  our bodies try to signal this to us - but often we don't heed this.

As far as the body is concerned, alcohol is a poison.

So, no, it is NOT a vitamin deficiency - rather it's Your body trying to tell You something very important - You would do well to listen to Your body
