Extreme allergies, rash, black stuff in nasal mucus

Question

I am a 22 year old mom to a 9 month old son. I have not moved recently, and nothing has changed in the house. I have had no previous allergies. 

For about 6 months I have woken up with extreme allergies. I woke up and start sneezing for half the day. I start to feel dizzy and weak, extreme tired, sometimes i feel like my blood pressure drops, and I get a pretty bad head ache. I also get extremely itchy ears. They itch so bad I want to poke something in them. A few times I had a hard time breathing.

About two weeks ago I woke up with a rash that spread in two days to cover my chest, stomach, and back. It is extremely itchy. I started to feel flu like symptoms a week after having the rash that are almost gone, though the allergies are still there. I woke up this morning and blew my nose and had what looked like black fibers in my mucus. I know it was nothing I breathed in. I have not been anywhere that it was dirty, my house is extremely clean, I have not been around anything that would cause black stuff to go in my nose. It is awfully weird looking and very dark to be dried blood but I know dried blood can get pretty dark. Does anyone know what is going on with me? I am posting a link to my photobucket that has a picture of my rash. It is worse now, that was a few days after having it.

Hi, welcome to the forum, your body rash seems secondary to allergy known as atopic dermatitis and also other strong possibility is irritant dermatitis. Remember if you have been exposed to any chemical (detergent, shampoo etc.) or new garments which might have caused irritant dermatitis. if it is present, Avoiding these situations is helpful for acute flares as well as for long-term management.

Other forms of treatment are use of anti histamines and corticosteroids against prescription will help to reduce itching of the skin as well as rash. 

Before that other possibilities are needed to be ruled out. Other possibilities needed to be ruled out are viral exanthem, Mycoplasma pneumoniae - serological test and chest radiography is important to rule out and should be treated with appropriate antibiotic, Rocky Mountain spotted fever (it is tick borne disease and needs serological test for diagnosis), infectious mononucleosis, scarlet fever; as a result of streptococcal tonsillopharyngitis, Kawasaki disease, and dengue. Hence, you need to undergo serological tests for few common causes.

Black stuff in nose suggests fungal colonization and hence the nasal swab should be subjected to culture. Appropriate anti fungal can help to check this.

You need to consult dermatologist without delay. Take care and regards.
