hormone replacement therapy

I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago and noticed an increase in the symptoms of menopause, especially hot flashes. My gynocologist perscribed estrogel which I have found somewhat helpful for the hot flashes, but I had lost 30 lbs before the surgery, and now have gained it all back and more. I feel very drained mentally, physically and emotionally. I prefer not to used synthetic drugs and hormones. Can you recommend a relief for the hot flashes, and maybe the rest of the unwanted symptoms.

I agree with naturopath or bioidentical hormone specialist. They can help you thru this time without synthetic drugs.

Because you had a hysterectomy, the usual natural approach is more complex.  I'd advise seeing a naturopath.  The usual approach would be to use a trial and error approach with the great many herbs and "natural" hormones that are derived from the Mexican Wild Yam that help to balance hormones, but again, since you've had a hysterectomy, you might want to see a naturopath who knows more about what influence that has on the matter.

Try Pycnogenol for the hot flahses, i heard it's very good. Good for other things too but one user reported that her hot flashes were gone with Pycnogenol.

Best regards,
