? opinions....

So I've had anxiety for a pretty long time, I'd say about 8 months now. I don't really have it as bad anymore. But i have terrible mood swings i get happy not extremely happy though..... and then i get really really extreme lows all through out the day . My mom is bipolar and i know it can be genetic ... I just hate being so up and down all the time i feel like i can't stay in the same mood for even an hour. And I'm really sensitive so any tiny tiny thing will make me really depressed. I also get really angry so it's pretty much only extreme lows and no highs. Need opinions.... I'm seeing my therapist next week but until then i need advice . I feel bad cause it's so not like me to be mean but lately it feels almost as if i can't control it or stop it.

I've had anxiety for a pretty long time, too, I'd say about 50 YEARS now.
I think you need to discuss this with your therapist and look into the bi-polar connection. You've apparently spotted some markers in your behavior, so my humble opinion is you need to get a really accurate dx of your depression so you get the correct treatment.
I wish you the very best

WOW yeah I've heard that it can last a very long time, i have anxiety everyday but some days are easier than others so sometimes i can avoid it ! But yeah it's seems to get worse under stress i get very angry and then 10 minutes later I'll feel fine or I'll cry cause i hurt someones feelings it's just really scary and i hate it . I've never felt this bad. And my boyfriend and me will be getting a long fine then he can say the smallest thing and I'll snap then be pissed for an hour or so then cry cause i feel bad about what i said . I mean i can see this being normal sometimes but not everyday.
thank you for your help!!!

Anxiety and panic CAN last a very long time..........even a lifetime. But you must remember that over time, with therapy and medication, and yes, age, we reach a place where the anxiety no longer controls us. Some people reach a point where they are totally free of anxiety/panic, and there's no reason to think you won't be one of them. For many of us, our anxiety is very well controlled with meds and our lives are full and happy and healty and chaotic and crazy, just as someone with diabetes or epilepsy............we are no different. Sometimes we have an anxiety attack. Sometimes the diabeteic has a sugar crash and sometimes the epileptic has a seizure. Those are just the nature of the issues we live with.
Sorry for that little rantette.............
See your doctor and/or a psychiatrist and get to the bottom of your behavior and start turning your life around. You absolutely do NOT have to live the way you are now.
You are way too young to be feeling so down.
Peace
