Yes it helps. I quit for a week at a time and then something health issue comes up and I take one and it helps me get through the waiting period for labs, x-rays etc... to come back. This time I've been waiting on my WBC count from my Psych. Hopefully my count is normal because I have a enlarged lypmh node (couple months now) and so we'll see. I can bear the waiting while taking Klonopin. Dependency is an issue, but you can get over that too.
It's the only drug that works long term for me.
Have tried every anti depressant made with awful results. Now take clonazapam alone, and get out most every day. I am diagnosed with agoraphobia.
Without it I would be inside my apt. 24/7. Of course no medicine is a magic potion. We do the work using the med as a base.
It is in the class of drugs mentioned by poster rich...so dependancy is an issue for many.
All systems are different. You have to be able to face a period of trial and error.
Good luck
The thing is, everyone reacts differently to all the various meds out there so you can't always go by the replies you get....BUT it is an addictive benzo drug and once on it, it can be very difficult to wean off. I did poorly on it and it disrupted my sleep cycle greatly. So for me it wasn't good.
