Just an update about panic attacks

Even on medication, I realized I was having the beginning of a panic attack while I was driving to Starbucks.  I noticed because my vision started to change.  So I immediately started breathing and was able to stop it.  Now I'm happily seated with my coffee waiting on my son to finish tennis.  That darn subconscious!  I know why it happened but it was not a conscious thought.  I am not bothered at all by it.  So hopefully this helps those of you out there still suffering.  You may still have them but you can stop them and move on.

Just keep trying and breathe, breathe, breathe...for me it is the best therapy.  Sometimes I will just hold my breath because that really slows down the heart rate.  Then I do the regular breathing exercise.  Anyway, I have a bit more stress in my life right now and it is showing.  But no worries, nothing I have not been through before.

Fantastic!  I am pretty good at warding off most of them, but lately it seems they are starting to get the best of me again. Thanks for giving me hope!  I'm so glad to hear your doing so well.

That's so wonderful and great to share with those still working it!  I'm the same way...I can feel anxiety welling up and can squash it pretty fast.  Before, I was powerless, it would come over me like a wave.
