I agree with what Sillygirl said. We all respond differently to meds. I actually did great on Paxil. My panic attacks and anxiety were gone within a week. Wellbutrin helps many people with depression but not so much anxiety in some cases. It's in a different class than the SSRI's and can be more stimulating. So see how you do on this med and if you do happen to have anxiety your Dr can always add an anti anxiety med. Keep us up to date on how your doing on the new med. Remar
Yes, when I was working and put on Paxil, I suffered almost daily panic episodes. It got so bad I had to leave meetings. Fortunately I was taking Xanax @ that time, and could take it and compose myself for the rest of my shift.
Try to calm yourself. I never had the same reaction to any other drug. It just didn't work for me as it didn't for you.
Hope you improve on Wellbutrin. We all have different systems, and just have to be brave enough to try another medication when the first one fails. Often doctors will prescribe an anti anxiety to compliment the antidepressant, especially if you are prone to panic attacks.
Good luck.
