Let's let the doctors decide. If the new med solves the problem be thankful she isn't experiencing anxiety. Lorazepam should have helped if it was all anxiety.
I know you say you dont have anxiety, but as someone who's struggled with it for years, your symptoms sound identical.
Just know that its nothing to be ashamed of, and there is good help.
I don't have anxiety. Doctor prescribed Lisinopril.

I very much reccomend you look up some mindfulness techniques, they are amazing for falling asleep. I now go to sleep calmly and completely. try lifehut.com and Jon Kabitt-Zinn (sp?) mindfulness. It calms the mind and body and is woonnddeerrful. Also pay attention you are breathing from your abdomen, in 4 out 4. it is so hard to not completely turn our focus inward and create alot of suffering, Eckhart Tolle writes excellent books on mindfulness as well. Good luck, we are all on this journey together. The people that answer alot on this forum have alot of insight to offer and i have found their advice most helpful. We have to be willing to put in the time and effort to achieve peace but it can be done and is worth it.
