Ativan medication

I have recently had episodes of vertigo and on separate occassions noticed my hands tremble. More so when I receive bad news then my entire body shakes. At the ER they prescribed Ativan 0.5mg. Has anyone had success in taking this medicine? I do not take it every day just when I am feeling shaky.
The hands trembling aree bothersome though as sometimes it is hard to write or hold a glass. I  have seen a neurologist, had blood work done and a brain mri all to no avail - normal results.
Anyone out there have the same symptoms?

I take Lorazepam which I think is the exact same thing as Ativan. I only take it at night before bed. Helps me sleep. I'm weaning off slowly though. Ive only been on it for 2 months. But it does help! =)

Hi:  I take Ativan for sleep.  It works great for sleep.  My dosage is 1mg.  I noticed you had blood work done and a brain mri.  I am scheduled for a brain mri.  Can I ask you how easy/difficult it is having a brain mri as I have never had one done. Thanks.

I take a half of a .5mg pill once a day. It helps with my anxiety/nervous twitches a lot.
