likelyhood is very small...however, if you have real concerns, do not let a dr. write you off based on that!
if you are concerned due to headaches...it may be helpful to know that very few brain tumors actually do cause any pain/headache. Headaches have many (or no) causes, and 98% of the time the cause is benign.
What specific concerns/symptoms are you talking of?

If you are concerned, have his doctor order a cat scan. It's the only way to really know. I had a small mass that developed about a year ago. I was having signs of parkinsons and they diagnosed me for this.  My neurologist had me get a cat scan as I was also experiencing ringing in my ear. I didn't have anything affecting my auditory canal. But my nero doc thought we should follow up on the small tumor. A year was up about a month ago and they found a large putuitary tumor that has hemmoraged. This has developed in hypothyordism which explains my weight gain (about 40 lbs in a year. I have an appointment with my nerosurgeon to plan out treatment -- most likely surgery. Good luck and be persistant with your doctor to get the answers you need. His doc probably will be reluctant as it is somewhat rare for a teenager having a tumor. You never know thought! Brian

My dad died of it 7 months ago...he was 56.
Now...I did a lot of research on it...I know it is common in men 50-55 years old...but here I speak of the glioblastoma (the kind my dad died of). It is malignant, and the kind that is primary on the brain. That is the most agressive kind.
There is a web site about it...Just google brain Tumor. It is very resourceful.
My dad did not have any symptoms until it was too late...but when he did...it was like this!:
he lost the ability to control the left side of his body (arm, leg, facial muscles...) stroke-like stuff...
His tumor was on the right side, so it affected his left.
Other people get sleepy, some lose their vision...speach...dependable on the area of the brain the tumor is pressing onto.
BTW...Why would you worry?
have you got any unusual symptoms???
I hope all is well after all...
Do not worry. It never helped anyone...
We need to be in the moment...and only this moment...
Because no matter how it looks in the larger picture...on its own...this moment is perfect just the way it is.
