Blotchy/red skin PLEASE HELP

About 2 years ago my skin completely changed. Whenever I get embarrassed, hot, anxious, excited, nervous, basically any emotion, or be in the sun or a hot shower, my skin gets really red and blotchy and feels really hot when you touch it. I've already seen a dermatologist, but he said there was nothing he could do to help me with this. He says it happens to a lot of people and hopefully I'll eventually grow out of it. I normally put a thick, full-coverage makeup all over my chest and neck and face so that this doesn't show as much. And I'll wear jeans and a long sleeved shirt whenever I go out with friends. I hate it, it's so embarrassing. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, how do you deal with it? I just want this to go away so I can live my life to the fullest. Especially with summer coming up I'm not going to be able to go outside and hang out with my friends. Please help me.

These could be symptoms of anxiety, allergy, contact dermatitis..etc.
