Sometimes it is normalNormal saline flush to blame a lot of physical symptoms on anxiety when you are an anxiety sufferer but the symptoms you are describing plus your doctor's advice suggest a viral infection along with anxiety symptoms.
The only reason a panic attack would trigger a viral infection is because under stress you immunitary system lower it's efficacy. But here again the panic attack itself cannot trigger symptoms like a viral infection.
Did he put you on some antibiotic or he just think you have a cold? I know anxiety can mimic symptoms of a cold i some case but you doctor should be the one to be listened to. I am no doctor to tell you it's only due to the panic attack.
thanks for your reply, see i dont think it was a panic attack, i coudl breath fine, i was just all shaky and worrying about swallowing my tounge, my doc has put me on anti-acid tablets whcih are not doing alot really, i have become constipated too,is there any cure for what i have?
Anxiety can manifest itself in many ways. Is there any cure to treat it? Or course there are; psychotherapy is the number 1 choice since we don't wan't you on meds if we can cure the root cause first without meds. And something i suggest to everyone is physical activity since your body will produces at least 8 hormones that are essential for healthy mind-body. Healthy diet, physical activty combined with psychotherapy can be all you need to treat your problem. Our body was designed to move and to eat bio. What else can i say?
Anyway i'm not a doctor and i suggest you consult a doctor if your symtoms gets worse of if you feel hopeless or have any suicidal thoughts.
