Can Inderal Work for anxiety, hyperhidrosis AND migraines

by lrg0812, Jun 10, 2008 08:27PM
Hello,
I have been suffering from anxiety on and off for over 10 years.  I also have hyperhidrosis and have been dealing with it for more than 20 years.  I am currently taking Maxalt for the migraines.  The sweating is made greater by the anxiety and as of late has been unbearable.  I have been researching my options and noticed that Inderal has been indicated for all three.  Is it possible to take this drug to alleviate the symptoms of all 3?  If so, what is the recommended dosage for each of the three?  Thank you so much for you time!

Are you under the care of a physician? I suggest that you discuss this with a doctor to help you pick the right medication.

You might also visit the neurology forum - there may be fellow migraine sufferers who can give you their input.

Hi Lauren,

I know that Inderal can be taken for migraines and anxiety and that it quite effective in both.

I am on 80mg of Long Acting Inderal twice a day for anxiety and it really has helped. It is released slowly into the blood stream and lasts whereas other beta blockers can be wearing off within an hour. Inderal has worked wonders with me.

As xanweaner has said, visit your doctor to discuss the options and go from there.
