There is life after anxiety!   With a treatment program that works for you, you can minimize the impact of anxiety on your life. You should very seriously consider a treatment program for anxiety, something that you can use to grow as a person and learn how to control your anxiety. There are a LOT of people here who take medication for anxiety and never seek out the causes or learn about how to cope better. A behavioral program such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, coupled with or without medication, can help you to deal with the anxiety in the short term, and learn how to control your anxiety.  There's not too much work involved, and if you push hard, you'll start to feel better in only a few days. You need professional assistance from a mental health specialist to develop a behavioral program, but most of the work you do yourself. I started CBT a year ago, and after 6 months I've been able to deal with some bad times without being hamstrung by anxiety.

Thank you all!! I have been checked at the er and my doc.....everythings good. So, I do know it's ole anxiety bull! It did come out of nowhere. Do your ears ring sometime? Thats the part thats been hard, the fact you feel like you are going to pass out, or just die any minute. I am trying real hard to block these thoughts, boy its hard! Specially when your feeling something, hard to ignore it. I know thats what I need to do.

HI sweets,
DO NOT PANIC.....i know this sounds ridiculous but just stop..and breath for a second.
What you are experiencing is anxiety.
Anxiety can come out of the blue...you may not even realise it but but this could be down to a build up of stress, things changing in your life or just a wobbly time but you have the hudge advantage...its only been 4 moths...try 12 yrs..lol..it gets a bit harder to shift then(but you still could).

NOw...i shall just explain very briefly what you may be experiencing.Because you don't quite understand these sensations they will be much more scary...
Anxiety (for me and thousands of others) can 1stly make you feel very wiered...i imagine you feel quite 'spaced out/detatched..wobbly and dizzy.
This is ue to fight or flight...ur body..due to the increased production of adrenaline will be on alert mode which causes you to pump blood around your body to ur organs and muscles and there for not as much to your head making you feel very odd..this is not dangerous in any way..just a rebound effect of anxiety...also when you are'thinking' and on alert mode a lot more..you are there for 'in your head' more and there for feel more detached for ur usual surroundings.
This will pass.

What i recommend yo do is really try with all of your might to not wind your self up about this...go and see ur doc...not because there is something awfully wrong with you..at all..but to explain that you are feeling anxious and is there any thing they can help you with until you feel better.
The one thing i really advice is that you stop......and acknowledge this for what it is...a short spell of anxiety...caused by a bit of built up stressed and not feed it until it becomes a habit which is harder to break.

I think subconsciously you now its anxiety...because here you are on an anxiety forum...so you are doing well...the rational part of your brain is working.

keep telling yourself...this is only anxiety and it will pass...these affirmations will start to sink in eventually.

Try very hard to get on with your daily activities..calmly and collectively...drink a load of camomile tea and every time you feel that hidious wave of hell say to yourself...stop...this is anxiety..it isn't going to hurt me.

i really do know this sounds easier said than done..i truly do but i wish that if i had not fed these sensations and thoughts after experiencing them for 4 months then maybe i wouldn't have them now 12 yrs later...(im not feeling sorry for myself as i am doing well but i just know you can do this).

Anxiety can be hell and do not undermine it but trust me...what your feeling is completely and utterly normal and given time it will past...the worst thing you can do now is feed it...by feeing it it will grow and grow.
With the what if thoughts...as im sure you had pop in just then....you mutt see them as anxiety thoughts...visualise them as a train in your mind and say to yourself...i am not getting on that train...and see the thoughts roll out of your mind...don't fight them but do not feed or answer to them...do not..what ever you do question them or try and work them out due to fear...they are irrational thoughts and our not important..however hard it is do not feed tham.

I am sorry to ramble but i really hope this has been of some help...i know that you will feel better soon and if you need to ask any more questions please just ask....im a bit of an expert on the matter heheh.

Try not to go on any health websights...it doesn't help.

Hope you feel better soon sweets.

Yes, I have it too.  I wish I could help you, but know that your not alone.  I have severe health related anxiety, and it is no fun.  Very debilitating :(  Are you taking any medication?  If not, I would suggest you try it, it can't hurt...  Take Care, Michelle

Yes I go through that all the time. I have health related anxiety so if I get a strange symptom all hell breaks loose and I go CRAZY!!!! I've had it for a very very long time and it really ***** to feel that way. Have you always felt that way or did it start all of the sudden? The best way to tackle this is to go to your doctor get a check up make sure your thyroid is working well and that you dont have a hormonal imbalance.... then you can get medication IF you want. Some are long term and take about a month to kick in and some are temporary which help take the edge off immediately. Or you can try going to see a psychologist and figure out what is going on. You can do both if you would like. I am taking medication and I can tell you that it has really helped me. Good luck to you, you are not alone a lot of people suffer from this and we all know it is horrible!!!!
