Chest Spasms

I have just recently started having what feels like chest spasms , they are happening right near my heart and i am not sure if it is my heart or not, it is not painful but it feels like my chest is beating. I am not sure what this is, i have had anxiety attacks before but this is happening just at random. I am starting to get worried it has only been happening for 2 or 3 days now, but i was just wondering if anyone knew what it is or if anyone has had similar symptoms.

Although I haven't had that particular symptom I can tell you that I have had anxiety for 8 years now and there hasn't been a day go by that I haven't felt my heart do something odd.  It will pound heavily with a normal rhythm, it will pound rapidly, it will beat irregularly (PAC/PVC), and there are times that my heart/chest wall will tingle, or even hurt.  There are times that I can feel each pulse of my heart in my chest wall.  I haven't had daily panic attacks for awhile now, in fact I've only had about 10 panic attacks in the last four years, and what I've described above are daily anxiety symtpoms without panic attacks.  My docs all say it's just anxiety.  What you describe sounds like an anxiety symptom to me, but I am no doctor.  If your docs say it just anxiety, please try to accept their diagnosis, easier said than done, I know.  If you have yet to see a doctor for it, I recommed doing so.  I'm sure there is nothing wrong, but hearing it from a doctor tends to help those of us with "heart anxiety" to calm down and stop adding fuel to the fire when we begin to feel anxiety induced heart symptoms.  I hope this helps you and that you feel better soon!
