Clonazepam

I am trying to wean myself off of clonazepam and I am having serious withdrawals.  I have been hospitalized for symptoms of having a stroke.  All test results were negative for stroke or heart attack.  However, I am still experiencing extreme numbness and tingling sensatios in my left arm, hand and left leg, foot.  I really think this is a side effect as a result of not taking the clonazepam.  My body is also aching all over and I have start waking up during the night.  IS THERE ANYONE ELSE experiencing these symtoms?

No, they haven't mentioned it. My primary will not even prescribe it if the psychiatrist is not available and I am running out of medicine.  If I can't make the appointment they just leaving you hanging.  They will not call in a refill.  My current psych wants me to visit once a month even when my depression/ anxiety is under control long term.  I think it is a money issue (gain). Why?  Because I have had other psych doctors who didn't require a monthly visit in order to get meds if you were feeling ok. I have made an appointment to see a new doctor.

Did you quit cold turkey?  You should never do that; it could cause seizures and very bad withdrawals.  They need to be tapered off of as slowly as you need; some generalized schedule might not suit you.  Do you have a psychiatrist?  Haven't any of the doctors you've seen said anything about this?
