Could my birth control be causing me to have anxiety?

I'm 18 years old and have been taking Altavera for a couple months now. I have been experiencing anxiety and panic attacks lately. I had never had a panic attack or any anxiety before until a couple weeks ago. Could the Altavera be causing my anxiety?

It certainly could. I was on Ortho Tri Cyclin for some time with hightened anxiety and when I switched to a different one (LoLoestrin, which is the lowest dose of hormones) I was soo much better. Definitely talk to your doctor!

Below is a site that tells all the side effects of Altavera.  I personally feel when we are taking things that mess with our hormones what you're experiencing could be caused by this.  It's well worth talking to your doctor about, it may not be the right birth control for you but only he/she can tell you that.  Hope this helps.
