For the past two and half months I have been suffering from constant dizziness. Not the kind where you are littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys light headed and its more of an annoyance than anything and t eventually goes away. I'm talking about SEVERE dizziness 24/7.
I've already been to four doctors. None of them can find out what is wrong. I'm starting to think it may be anxiety.
The dizziness started as withdrawal symptoms from getting off of EffexorEffexor Effexor xr (I've been on anti-depressants for 7 years). I had a miserable time for a couple weeks and then began to feel better. It started up again as my wedding drew near, I was having panicPanic disorder Panic disorder with agoraphobia attacks as well due to the stress. The wedding has long since been over and the dizziness never went away. It has ruined my life. Going to work, cleaning the house, doing errands are now an almost impossible task.
Has anyone had similar experiences? Is this anxiety or something physiologically wrong? Help me.
Please let me ask a question as I know that anxiety can cause some dizziness. The question is that were these doctors like an EarEar barotrauma Ear discharge Ear emergencies Ear examination Ear tube insertion Ear tube insertion - seriesNoseNose fracture and ThroatCancer - throat or larynx Throat swab culture Doc ? I don't want to alarm you, but gently say that maybe it might be something like an inner ear problem or vertigo. Usually, it takes a specialist to find out these things. Ofcourse it can be anxiety, but I would like anyone else would find an ENT specialist and mention to them about your medicine history. It can be difficult to find a "good" doctor that is willing to take what ever it takes to discover your problem. I know that dizziness can be terrible - please check out a good ENT for inner ear problems.
I forgot one more thing - what about your blood pressure, blood sugar, etc. You can also ask your doc for a blood panel to see if something shows.

I agree with Donnie. go to an ENT first...however, I had a dizzy headache for 6 months straight...I had MRI's CAT scans, went to neurologists, allergist, ENT...EVERYTHING!!! Mine ended up being anxiety and depression. I see that you had a major life change (your marriage..CONGRATS!) sometimes going off meds at any stressful time, good and bad, is not a good idea. Even though the wedding is over, there are still many changes in your life. I feel you may need your meds at this time. However, it can also be done without them. Try a therapist. It may help.

I think you need to get checked out incase it isnt panic attacks.
If it is you could be causing them by thinking about the dizziness too much
