thank you and yes that it the dose its a very small one.
Well, that's quite a difference from your first post. I mean no offense by asking this, but are you sure THIS is the dose?
If so, then your w/d, your taper, will not be that difficult, but it will still not be without some "rough spots." Even at .25mg a day for 4 months, your body has built up a certain tolerance. But as we say on this forum constantly, we are all different and you may find you have no problem getting of the Xanax. I don't mean to scare you, I just want to prepare you. It is a very potent drug.
We still cannot advise you about how to go about this. You really need to involve your doctor in this as he/she wll need to write scripts for smaller doses as you step down. I said it before and will say it again, that any taper should be supervised by your doctor.
I wish you the very best

no sorry i take .25 every monring for 4 months now
Sorry, but I'm just a tad confused about your dose. You say you take .25mg every morning, which you've been doing for 6 months now "AND ABOUT 3-4 EVERY MORNING."
So, are you saying you take three (3) .25mg every morning for a TOTAL of .75-1.0mg every morning?
First you need to clarify exactly how much Xanax you take each day and second you need to understand that we are not doctors and have no authority to tell you how to change your meds. Especially a med like Xanax.
4 months is the maximum time you should be on Xanax on a daily basis and you've gone beyond that. IF you are taking as much a 1mg every day, you must discuss with your doctor a plan for you to taper off this drug. You absolutely must not just quit suddenly! I can't stress that enough.
You took a relatively small dose for a relatively short time and shouldn't have too much trouble tapering off...........but we ALL react differently and no taper should be attempted without the supervision and guidance of your doctor.
Pleasse, be safe rather than sorry.
Call or see your doctor.
Peace
