You did just fine thank you! I have been in therapy and it hasn't helped. Don't say it's the therapist, cause I've tried all sorts of them. I am working on exposure, etc. I know you also got off meds. I just really want to know if you or her Greeness are doing better with or without meds I guess. I know what I have to do to get better and I'm fighting the anxiety monster all the time through exposure, meditation, etc., but the only time I get any relief at all is when I take a xanex. I can do all sorts of exposure therapy, but driving is the hardest cause I can't do the therapy without having a wreck. I've conquered the Walmart monster (but I still don't like that store).
Her Greenness is at work just now, so it may be awhile before you hear back. Meanwhile, let me take a wild guess as to what she'll tell you:
"Getting off meds can feel wonderful, but no change should be undertaken without your doctor's knowledge and consent. You may want to consider therapy to deal with the panic and agoraphobia, and to help you as you wean off your meds. Meanwhile, there is no reason to feel guilty about taking anything that helps us -just be glad there are such things! Take care Sweetie -we're all rooting for you"
OK - how do you think I did with that?
I guess we'll both find out.
Ulp.
