Help, I'm on Effexor XR

I've been taking effexor xr for about 4 months now, but just recently I have been having horrible nightmares and I have become very angry, almost violent. I'm trying to ween myself off, but notice that the anger is just getting worse. I want to call my doctor but got fired from my job, and have no funds. What should I do?

Fortunately, my doc has helped me out some by giving me some samples, but I can't ask for samples until I get insurance, which could take up to three months...I have been slowly trying to ween myself off the effexor xr. But since weening, I have become angry. I am doing it slowly. I know not to quit any antidepressant/anxiety drug cold turkey.

I see one fact here. You are going to run out of tablets some day soon are you not? If you can't afford a doctor's visit and that day arises when you have none left, what will you do then? Cold turkey from a hard tablet to come off. If it means borrowing money to go see your doctor then borrow the money. Don't leave yourself open to a situation that will be nasty. If you want to get off them the doctor is the best bet for helping you do so.
