Vertigo is a very common side effect of both Effexor and Effexor XR. This should pass fairly quickly as your body adjusts to the medication. If it doesn't, or gets worse, you need to let your doctor know. While you are experiencing this side effect, please be very cautious while driving or avoid it completely.
