How to get off xanax

Hi everyone:
I would appreciate any advice on how to get off xanax. I am taking 150mg of Zoloft, 2mg twice a day of alprazolam XR and 2 or 3 1mg xanax during the day. I am trying to eliminate the 1 mg xanax during the day (I was taking 5 1mg in addition to the alprazolam XR. I've gotten it down to 3 1mg and feel OK, but if I take less than that, I battle with severe anxiety all day.

The ONLY way to do this is through the advice of your doctor. I wholeheartedly agree with remar. My mantra has always been the slower the better...let us know what your doctor says!
