Hi, Sorry that I keep asking so many questions, but I've had some new huge problems. One of them is, when somebody tells me a joke, or something that's not literal, I take it seriously, for example, they tell me, "You are going to explode".
Good for you! Hopefully your doctor explained that sometimes it takes a while for the medications to really kick in and that is most likely why you are still having a little bit of trouble with your anxiety and the whole taking what people say literally. Just give it some time and again keep your parents up-to-date on how you are doing. :o)
At least you know what your problem is. When somebody is messing with you, you take them literally. Step back and think before you react. Does the statement make sense? Could it really happen? You can get through this problem. If you need help. CBT would probably benefit you. See a psych doctor and ask. Best of luck.
