I have had enough

I have really had enough I dont know what to do anymore...If im not sick from hiv then im crazy seriously...I took a ora quick advance hiv1/2 antibody test...The test was 2 years after the exposure it was negative...However I think that the test gave me a False negative it wont leave my mind...I need another test which I have to wait to take until I get an appointment. I feel that im sure it will be positive and if the first test was right that it will be a false positive. Im so scared and I dont wanna live like this anymore....Do anyone know what causes false negatives the sensitivity is 99.3 so it can give false negatives which is scaring the **** outta me. Everyone keeps telling me im fine. I feel like i will feel like this for the rest of my life, which i cant handle and wont. Then I worry about having a immune disease or a auto immune disease or just any kind of disease that would create a false negative even after that amount of time. What can I do because I just dont know what to do anymore.

Sry i miss read it was you who had  a finger ***** test done my bad and I appologize for miss reading it. Im really glad everything worked out for you. I do have another question regarding deep kissing....Deep kissed with a lip which i had pulled a piece of skin off and it bled a little do not know if it was still bleeding during the kiss or if they had any bleeding in there mouth....Would a oral fluid test negative at 98 days be good enough on that one?

Nothing delays seroconversion. NOTHING! You are fine.  I had a oraquick finger ***** test done today myself, and tested negative.  Go out and enjoy the rest of your life.  The only way you have to worry is if you have some rare genetic autoimmune disorder, that your immune system cannot produce antibodies.  But if this were the case, you would not be online asking your questions, let alone in a position to have unprotected sex.  You don't need another test, in fact you've been overtested already.  Two years is more than definitive.  So sit back, relax, and enjoy the rest of your life!

Contact me if you need anything.  I know how you feel.

You are not suffering from HIV...you are suffering from Panic/Anxiety and possibly depression....your worry is very irrational.  The fact that you have tested negative should give you some sense of relief.  I understand some concerns and wanting another test...but your fears are over the top!  Anxiety about HIV is one of the most common fears among those who suffer from anxiety/panic.  I would suggest getting yourself tested one more time, like you have planned. and then get into therapy (a good psychiatrist/psychologist) to see what is really the core of your panic.

Best to you.

I took a ora quick advance oral fluid test on april 5th 2007 2 years aftter a high risk exposure it was negative....then I thought that it was a false negative, so I took another on june 9th 2007 also oral fluid test it was negative again.....Tommorrow I have a appointment for a hiv blood test and im so worried that the result will say u r positive for hiv !! Im so worried n scared!!!! I wont get the result for that test until about a week later....Im losing my mind...See I also had a low risk exposure in Feb sometime from kissing with a lip that was bleeding and dont know if they were bleeding too. But since then I had those 2 ora quick advance oral fluid test one on the 5 th week and the 2nd was like 98 days after that exposure. Im told that I dont need anymore tests...but I cant get it outta my mind that a blood test will show different result. What do you think suzi- q or anyone else.Im worried even if I get a negative result that im gonna need another so thats its at 6 months or even another at 1 year. I hate living like this I cant stand it. Do you think that a yeast infection and a eye infection could alter the test in any way possible?

i understand what you are going through. i had unprtected sex with my ex-girl friened and freaked out for 6 months and then i finally got a blood test done. came back negitive thank god. but still to this day i cant help but think that it was a false negative. then i start to freak out and talk to my parents and friends about it and then in my ead it gets worse and worse. I am sure you are fine, just dont worry about it. YOU ARE FINE. IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD. I dont know what it is with my personality but i look for things to worry myself about. if it's not one thing it's another. you just have to relaize that it's all in ur head and ur doing it to yourself and that is no way to live.

Well Lanna, I would probably swap spit with you if you know what I mean. hahaha. just take the test, I tormented with the exact same thing for years and look what it did for me. And look, even if you did contract anything the sooner you get some treatment for it the better. Now having said that, you are fine, just go do it. Trust me, the chances of a false negative are all in your head. Dont pay attention, just go do it.

Yeah im going to take the test again this tuesday comming up then i have to wait like a week for the results. I pray that it wasnt a false negative. I dont see how it can be FDA approved if it can produce false negatives. What chance do you think that my blood test will be positive if the ora quick advance one which i took the oral fluid was negative. Whats the chance that im really positive. Thanks workhater and I hope everything works out for you as well!!!!!!!!!

Do you have some symptoms of HIV? They are probably the same symptoms we all have here. Lanna, just take the test and get that weight off your shoulders. I  was in the exact same boat several years ago and refused to take a test. I lived with that anxiety for years and I think that is why of got some OCD and anxiety issues now. I finally had to have surgery on an injued ankle and they required an HIV test prior to the surgery, so at that point I couldnt hide anymore. However, I did start to think that year later that it must have been positive and the doctor just didnt tell me. Hahhahah. Sounds so ridiculous to say, but in your mind it is so real. I am so tired of this ****. Anyway, just go do it. You're fine.

i think the only thing that will put your mind at ease is taking another test.  even IF it was a false negative (which it probably wasn't), i doubt it could be false twice.  but i don't really know for sure i guess.  i think the only thing that you can do at this point is wait for your appointment and try to focus your mind on a bunch of stuff in the meantime; keep busy.

Another thing is that the risk was very high and I was very stupid....Unprotected sex with 2 individuals one of which was bisexual another was fixed so he couldnt make babies which scares me cuz how many other did he have sex with without a condem. Both were injection drug users...Oh my god i really think I have it even with a negative test 2 years after. Please god dont let it be a false negative!!!!!
