I was wondering if this is Anxiety too, or an allergy to dairy (throat issues)

I've been suffering with OCD and Anxiety for sometime now, and I am terrified of drugs and side effects. I've been trying to deal with this alone, but lately it has become so bad. Last month I was in the emergency room, with what I thought was a heart attack.. they told me it was stress. For a few months now I have been battling a "choking" and swelling of the tongue and throat feeling. It came and went. But recently its been worse. Im not sure if I am allergic to dairy though, because I "noticed" it happening after I had some pizza, the next day I had a slice again and the swelling feeling happened... and today, some tuna salad (with mayo). It was so bad I almost went for the phone to call 911. Instead I walked over to my mothers just in case something happened, I wouldn't be alone. Once I calmed down and rested, most of the swelling went away... within an hour of coming home the swelling started up again, but not as bad as it was after the tuna/mayo and I havent eaten a thing, although I am starving but afraid to eat anymore tuna.

If this was an allergic reaction to dairy, would it come and go like this? Or do you think its just the anxiety? Would medication for anxiety actually stop this swelling problem? I am so afraid of my throat closing up.

It is possible that people can get new allergies every 7 years. It is possible that you are lactose intolerant. Something that would be very helpful is for you to write down your diet for 2 to 3 weeks before you see the doctor about this. It might not be dairy products causing this although it probably is.

I don't think this is anxiety, however if you find out from the doctor that you are not allergic to anything, feel free to message me and I will send you some tips/techniques that will help you out with anxiety.

You should have this checked though just in case it's allergies and even if it's not because the sooner you are seen the sooner it can be fixed IF it is serious.
