Noone here can really diagnose you with anxiety, but you what you are describing is basically very similar to many other people here (including myself). I had never had had a panic attack or anxiousness until I had an attack in my mid-late 20's. It is VERY scary and confusing and I too just wished everything would return to normal. The good thing is I believe that your new normal will be much better than what you think it currently is because of this experience in the long run. Although, I did not see it at the time, this whole experience has made me a much more patient and understanding person and also a better husband and father. But if you would have told me that when it started, I would have become very mad.
As far as getting help or a diagnosis for this, do you have access to a mental health professional such as a psychologist or psychiatrist? For me, just learning about the anxiety gave me a path to confront and deal with it. Keep us posted!
Hello I also have this problem and the only thing I've figured out so far is that it has something to do with OCD we cant quit the negative thougths and anxiety is very high amongst women. Yes stress can totally trigger it and it can also be a chemical imbalance. I've been to a psychologist and they can teach you Cognative Behavior Theraphy to help you learn how to deal with your thoughts. Seek help because living with this HA (hypocondria) is horrible, it robs you of your peace and happiness. Good luck.
When my GP saw some of my blood results and that everything was normal he just said maybe its anxiety he gave me xanax for one week then as needed 1/2 capsul. It helped a little ( dont want to get addicted to it)
he didnt ask me any questions to try to diagnos if i really do have anxiety. Thats also why im going to see another doctor.
Can you telle how one is diagnose with anxiety?
As far as i know no one in my famli has it
can stress trigger anxiety symptoms
im always stress and constantly thinking about my health
i just want everything back to normal
Health anxiety is fairly common here in this community. My first experience with anxiety dealt with concerns about my health as well. In my opinion, we can self diagnose ourselves with anything. The internent is a great resource, but you have to be very careful on how you use it. In my opinion, it can exacerbate your anxiety very much. It is hard to filter out all of the information that is literally at your fingertips and if you loook hard enough, you are going to link any symptom with your worst fears. For example, I have a headache this morning which probably comes from a long day yesterday combined with about 4 hours of sleep last night. I am tired and I feel a little run down. Now, that is pretty much how I should feel, but if I Googled those symtpoms and just clicked on a couple of links, I could literally tie my stomach in knots reaching the conclusions that confirm my worst fears even though the symptoms and my diagnosis are not related at all....it could tell me I have hours to live because I have some rare disease that I can't pronounce or it could have told me that my head was going to literally explode. My point is that we can find ANYTHING and EVERYTHING on the internet no matter how far-fetched it is.
In my opinion, you also have had some concern because of your diagnosis with the cysts. Both my aunt and cousin have had them, and they are both fine, but I believe that it is normal to worry about it, because anything medical can be scary if we don't know about it, in my opinion.
Have you had any anxiety issues in the past? Have you sat down and talked with your doctor about your concerns? Please keep us posted!
Sori for all the typos :)
