Is it alright to take valiium morning before surgery?

I am having surgery on Tuesday morning, and I know I won't sleep the night before and will be terrible anxious about going into the hospital.  I'm not suppose to take asprin or ibprofin, but is it alright to take a valiium or zanax?

You need to ask doctor of course to be sure it is ok.  I just underwent surgery, and take clonazapam for extreme anxiety.  When I asked if it would be alright to take, was told it would be fine.   It worked out well, as I went into surgery calm with blood pressure low.

I do alot of breathing exercises and affirmations, but when it is surgery, and I am not sure if the results will give me the results I want.....I will take a half or fourth tablet.

Check with the doctor or nurse.  They will tell you.  We are not doctors, but I've shared my experience as it was recent and close to what you face.

BTW: aspirin products are always a no-no before surgery as they can interfer with blood clotting.              Good luck.

You'd have to speak to your doctor directly and have them answer that question. They could advise you from there as they would be aware of any potential interactions or if it were safe.
