Anxiety symptom

Hi, I have started recently getting panic attack during the night, I just wondered if anyone has ever experienced the symptom where your mind is so full of nose and madness that you can't just shut your mind off but really need to? Last night wether eyes were open or closed my mind was going crazy - buzzing/racing!!I finally got up and started doing the dishes and had a chamomile tea which helped numb my mind :-/ is this something normal or am I going mad like I seriously thought I was last night, I felt I would have just flipped out if my mind kept buzzing the way it was. Just to add I had been out at a night club before hand x

With anxiety sleep can be fleeting due to not being able to stop thinking.  Don't go to bed until you are really tired, and watch TV or read allowing yourself to fall asleep.  A doctor once told me to think about my favorite place to visit and go there in my mind and build on that......it truly works.  Just lying in bed trying to go to sleep allows too much time to think, and with anxiety we don't need this!  If this was out of the ordinary for you then I would think about what you had to drink while out.....it may have been too stimulating.  People have been known to have things slipped into their drinks, so always watch for that.  If it's better tonight then I'd say what you drank had a lot to do with it.  If it continues and what I suggested doesn't work, talk to your doctor about it, he may feel you need something to calm you down at night.  I hope you're feeling better and take care.
