Hey
Obviously you are suffering from health anxiety and insomnia is one of it's most common symptoms so is chest pain, and headache. It's a good thing that you have been found negative from HIV, now you can start working on dealing with your anxiety. I understand that you do not wish to take medications, I also am not fond of drugs so what I would suggest are some alternative methods.
Herbal teas like kava, chamomile, and lavender tea are great in calming nerves and relaxing the body. Nutritional supplements like Endoca hemp products and 5-HTP can also help alleviate anxiety and promote sleep. These are very healthy alternatives because they are all made from organic plants.
You can also try meditation, aromatherapy, and massage therapy. These are great relaxation techniques that can put you in stupor state.
Though I am not a doctor the symptoms you mentioned could very well be caused from all the anxiety you have. You don't have HIV so hopefully that can bring some relief. If you can't sleep go to a therapist to talk about your anxiety and ways to reduce it. If that doesn't work you can also see your doctor that can prescribe something to help but that should be a last resort so you don't end up relying on meds to go to sleep.
Anxiety, whatever the trigger, can not only cause insomnia, but an entire boatload of physical symptoms. Since it is extremely obvious that you DO NOT have HIV, but are still struggling with numerous symptoms, I strongly urge you to see your doctor for a complete physical and a very frank discussion about your HIV scare.
Once any physical problem is ruled out, your doctor will (or should) discuss getting into therapy. If he/she doesn't, then ASK for a reference. Request a therapist who practices CBT.......it's a type of therapy that deals with what is presently going on in your life, not how your potty training went.
There are numerous methods of dealing with insomnia.......and yes, there ARE ways of beating it without "big pharma" medications.
The same goes with anxiety.......they (whoever "they" are) may try to tell you that you're depressed and should be on an antidepressant for the anxiety. I am not anti-depressant nor anti-anxiety medication, but tell them you would at least like to TRY beating this with just therapy. If they say you can't...........leave and find a new therapist!
You CAN beat this and get your life back
