head pressure & trembling.

I have suffered anxiety on and off for 15yrs. I am suffering with severe anxiety at the moment. I have been on several different meds. Due to my anxiety i am suffering with going outdoors. I am currently on mitazepine and my dr has just prescribed dosulepin.  I have gradually built up my dose from 25mg to 150m over 2 weeks. Up until the past few days i have not suffered any side effect. Now i find that im walking round in a dream like state, my hands seem to shake quite badly in the morning and sometimes throughout the day.  I can deal with those effect but the worst effect i seem to have is pressure in my head and even worse it feels like my brain is trembling in my head. Is this just my anxiety causing this or are these side effect to my tablets, if so how long will the feelings take to subside??? Its driving me mad. Has anyone else suffered these side effects???

I strongly urge you to see your doctor about the side effects you are beginning to experience. The "dream like state" could be depersonalization/derealization. That you have anxiety about going outside sounds like agoraphobia, and before you end up trapped in your house, you need to get into therapy to stop that insidious disorder.
Remeron is an antidepressant which has no affinity for anxiety. I could not find anything on dosulepin, so I don't know what type of medication that is. Call your pharmacist and ask him about any interactions between these two meds and side effects.
I wish I could answer your questions, but I am not qualified to speak to pharmaceutical side effects and their duration.
Bottom line is that you are having very unpleasant side effects and your doctor needs to know and you need to discuss if a change in meds is called for.
Please don't just sit there and hope the side effects go away. These are powerful medications and you deserve answers, information and help.
Never underestimate the wisdom of a second opinion.
I wish you the best of luck. Keep in touch.
Peace

I have had the trembling in my hands and understand that you are nervous. Have you talk to your doctor about them. also feelings are more or less in your mind. rule out physical then if that comes back OK look at mental. your not crazy I have had that dream like state before and still get that a lot and I am not on those same meds. people that have anxiety issues the worst thing we do is turn it into something that it is not "what if" is dangerous for us to ask. I am sure you will be fine. talk to your doctor they might want to change the dosage of your meds.  good luck.
