Living in fear

I am having a horrible day today.  I feel so disconnected with the world.  I keep getting headaches and I'm exhausted.  I've always had the fear of getting a horrible disease and anytime I'm exposed to health topics like in the paper, on the news, or others around me I freak out.  I just found out that an ex coworker is not doing very well with her cancer. I know this may sound selfish of me, but now I start thinking I have cancer.  Why do I do this?  I go for so long feeling good and then when I'm exposed to health diseases I think I have it. Any suggestions or words of support.

I get completely what you feel today, I had an awful day yesterday after feeling so great for a while.  It seems so unfair doesn't it?  AnxiousGurl gave you some good advice, I'm going to try the positive self talk tomorrow, what I did do today was swear at my anxiety and told it where to go!  I hope no-one could hear me as their ears would be burning.  You know it actually felt great doing that!

Your bad day will not last, tomorrow could be better, just think one day at a time and gradually....bit by bit.....

Good luck and remember we are thinking about you.

Anxiety will do this to you if you let it.
Positive self talk helps and surrounding yourself with positive people

Go see a doctor about your anxiety if you havent already.
Get all the tests done to prove you are healthy and so you can be reassured that you are ok

Also, have you considered therapy...Ive heard CBT(Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) works great.

Hang in there.

Best wishes and we're here for you.
