In my experience, anxiety can cause an alarming downward spiral especially when 'triggered' by some stressful events. I would have to echo Jikan on alot of what he said. Have you talked to your doctor about how you feel with your medications? Also, it is very important to keep talking it through with your therapist. Remember, we all suffer through ups and downs and it is no different in dealing with anxiety. Keep us posted!
Namaste,
I'm sorry that you're going through a difficult period, unfortunately, that is the nature of an anxiety disorder or most psychological disorders.
We have our good and our bad periods. That's a fact of life. Even "normal" people suffer these ups and downs.
It's the ability to cope with our changing circumstances that makes all the difference.
Medication can help as can counseling, but there are things that you can and should do on your own. Some of these are maintaining a proper diet, exercise(yoga is good), and, I would recommend, that you learn to meditate. Meditation can free your mind for a period of time, which will allow you to relax and melt away the dificulties you are encountering within the moment.
If you continue to feel this way, it may be appropriate for you to see your psychiatrist again to evaluate your medications. Not all medications are effective for all people. Oftentimes, its a matter of trial and error to find the proper medication or combination of medications to control your symptoms.
